Nasi Lemak Beras Basmathi (Nasi Lemak Basmathi Rice)

Hidangan untuk (Servings): 4 – 5 orang (people)

Bahan-bahan (Ingredients):

  • 2 cawan beras Basmathi (2 cups Basmathi rice)
  • 2 cawan air (2 cups water)
  • 1 cawan santan (1 cup coconut milk)
  • 1 sudu kecil garam (1 teaspoon salt)
  • 1 sudu teh gula (1 teaspoon sugar)
  • 2 helai daun pandan – disimpul (2 pandan leaves – knotted)
  • 1 inci halia – diketuk (1-inch ginger – bruised)
  • Hirisan 2 biji bawang kecil (Sliced 2 small shallots)
  • 1 batang kayu manis (1 cinnamon stick)

Cara-cara (Instructions):

  1. Basuh Beras (Wash Rice): Basuh beras dengan menggunakan penapis hingga air tidak lagi keruh (Wash the rice using a strainer until the water is no longer cloudy).
  2. Sediakan Periuk (Prepare Pot): Letak beras dalam periuk elektrik (Place the rice into the electric rice cooker).
  3. Masukkan Cecair (Add Liquid): Masukkan air dan santan pekat ke dalam periuk (Add water and thick coconut milk into the pot).
  4. Tambah Perasa (Add Seasoning): Masukkan satu sudu kecil garam dan satu sudu teh gula (Add one teaspoon of salt and one teaspoon of sugar).
  5. Tambah Aroma (Add Aromatics): Masukkan daun pandan, halia, hirisan bawang kecil, dan kayu manis (Add pandan leaves, ginger, sliced shallots, and cinnamon stick).
  6. Masak (Cook): Masak sehingga kering (Cook until the liquid is fully absorbed).
  7. Gembur & Hidang (Fluff & Serve): Gemburkan nasi dan hidang panas dengan sambal, telur, dan timun (Fluff the rice and serve hot with sambal, egg, and cucumber).

Tips Tambahan (Extra Tips):

  • Jika guna beras biasa, kurangkan sukatan santan kepada 1/2 cawan (If using siam rice, reduce the coconut milk to 1/2 cup).
