(Soft Plain Pancakes Recipe)

Bahan-Bahan: (Ingredients)
- 2 cawan Tepung Gandum
(2 cups All-purpose Flour) - 2 ½ cawan Air (Atau secukupnya sehingga adunan tidak terlalu pekat)
(2 ½ cups Water (Or as needed until the batter is not too thick)) - 1 biji Telur (Untuk rasa lebih lemak & warna kuning cantik)
(1 Egg (For a richer taste & beautiful golden color)) - 2 sudu besar Minyak Masak (Rahsia lempeng tidak melekat & lembut)
(2 tbsp Cooking Oil (The secret to non-stick & soft pancakes)) - Secubit Garam
(A pinch of Salt)
Cara Penyediaan: (Instructions)
- Sediakan Adunan: Masukkan tepung, air, telur, minyak, dan garam ke dalam mangkuk. Kacau rata menggunakan whisk sehingga tiada ketulan tepung.
(Prepare the Batter: Mix flour, water, egg, oil, and salt in a bowl. Whisk until there are no lumps.) - Tapis Adunan: Untuk hasil yang lebih ‘Luxury’ dan halus, tapis adunan tadi. Konsistensi mestilah tidak terlalu pekat dan tidak terlalu cair.
(Strain the Batter: For a more ‘Luxurious’ and smooth result, strain the batter. The consistency should be neither too thick nor too watery.) - Panaskan Kuali: Sapu sedikit minyak pada kuali anti-lekat (non-stick pan). Gunakan api sederhana.
(Heat the Pan: Lightly grease a non-stick pan with oil. Use medium heat.) - Masak Lempeng: Tuangkan satu senduk adunan dan ratakan (lenggang) kuali supaya nipis. Masak sehingga bahagian tepi nampak garing sedikit.
(Cook the Pancake: Pour one ladle of batter and swirl the pan to spread it thinly. Cook until the edges look slightly crispy.) - Terbalikkan: Terbalikkan lempeng dan masak lagi selama 1-2 minit sehingga kedua-dua belah masak sempurna.
(Flip: Flip the pancake and cook for another 1-2 minutes until both sides are perfectly cooked.)
Tips:
Gunakan sedikit air panas (bukan air mendidih) jika anda mahukan lempeng yang lebih kenyal dan lembut seperti ‘pancake’ hotel.
(Use a little warm water (not boiling) if you want pancakes that are springier and softer like hotel pancakes.)
Lempeng pekak paling ‘mewah’ bila dimakan bersama Sambal Tumis Ikan Bilis atau dicicah dengan Kuah Kari semalam.
(Plain pancakes are most ‘luxurious’ when eaten with Anchovy Sambal or dipped in leftover Curry.)
Nota:
Lempeng pekak adalah menu ‘penyelamat’ paling pantas di dapur bila kita kesuntukan masa untuk bersarapan.
